March 16, 2021the miller home was designed to bring the outside in. this concept is achieved in many ways. one of the first ways is through the natural tones of browns, tans, whites, greens, and blues found throughout the home. another way of bringing the outside in is through large accordion glass doors, allowing for a seamless archway from the living and dining area into the miller’s backyard. along with the large glass doors, the home has been equipped with operable windows throughout the perimeter of the home, allowing for natural light and in accordance with irc codes.
the open floor plan allows for the space to feel more welcoming, inviting, and promotes socialization. part of the open floor plan is the parallel kitchen. the kitchen was designed in accordance with nkb kitchen design guidelines. with the appropriate work triangle and aisle dimensions.
all habitable spaces follow the international residential code by allowing each space to not have any walls shorter than 7 feet wide and having a minimum square feet of 100.
the miller home was designed to follow the irc, nkba kitchen and bath guidelines while still providing a comfortable, beautiful and natural space.
